The dual camera on the Galaxy Note 8 will be better than the iPhone's, says analyst

Samsung wants to up your selfie game.

Two new investor notes from reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI give new insight into Samsung's 2017 performance, 9to5Google reports. Kuo predicts that the Galaxy Note 8, to release later this year, will be the company's first dual-camera smartphone. The adoption of the dual camera will be the "most important upgrade," Kuo writes. 

The cameras will include an impressive 3x optical zoom (the optical zoom on the iPhone 7 Plus is 2x) and have 12-megapixel resolution for wide-angle images (13MP with the telephoto). The two lenses will also both include optical image stabilization. Kuo claims the "Note 8's dual-camera will be much better than that of the iPhone 7 Plus, and likely to match that of OLED iPhone," a reference the forthcoming iPhone (AKA the iPhone 8). Read more...
